Our submissions reading period is from January until July. Make yourself familiar with our
books and our
mission before sending an email to

Pam describing your project. If we want to see more, we’ll ask that you email us a complete manuscript (or in the case of translation, a substantive sample, accompanied by a hard copy of the original work) and biographical information about both author and translator. Please note that it's best not to phone about queries; email us instead.
internships

Pam at least a semester (preferably a year) before your available starting date. Describe your experience and interests, and we will contact you for more information, a writing sample, and an interview. Usually (but not always) our interns are students, who often are able to arrange either funding or credits for their internship. Most internships are for a semester, but we’re happy when interns decide to stay longer, take on their own projects, and grow with us. For more information, see
